mandatory courses
for basic Surgical Trainee

All Basic Surgical Trainees(BSTs) are mandatorily required to attend the following courses during their basic surgical training.
1. Basic Surgical Skills Course (BSSC)
- Compulsory for ALL BSTs
- Completion of the above is one of the eligibility criteria for the Application of Ordinary Membership of the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong.
2. Clinical Core Competency Course
- Compulsory for BSTs admitted from 1 July 2010 onwards ONLY
- Completion of the above is one of the eligibility criteria for the Application of Ordinary Membership of the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Trainees are required to submit the Certificates of Attendance of the above courses as evidence for completion when they apply for the Ordinary Membership of the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong.
