    Sedation Safety Course

    10 June 2017 (Saturday)

Registration Deadline: 5 May 2017 (Friday)

Historically, surgeons in various subspecialties have been performing procedures under sedation, such as during endoscopy, office-based minor surgery, paediatric procedures and plastic surgery. Sedation however is not without risk. With the recent release of the Guidelines on Procedural Sedation by the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine in November 2009, this has become more pertinent. It has always been one of the missions of The College of Surgeons to provide opportunities for continuing medical education for surgeons in Hong Kong.

In connection with this issue of sedation, our College is pleased to announce that a Sedation Safety Course has been organized in collaboration with the Hong Kong College of Anaesthesiologists for our fellows and higher surgical trainees. It would be a great chance to refresh and update your knowledge and skills in sedation, monitoring and resuscitation. Details of which are as follows:

    Time: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Venue: The Hong Kong Jockey Club Innovative Learning Centre, 7/F, Hong Kong Academy of Medicine Jockey Club Building, 99 Wong Chuk Hang Road, Aberdeen, Hong Kong
